Conversations in a Desert Sky
Honoring my brother and nephew and the light of the love of those close to us who have passed onward.
Light and shadow converse in the early evening sky over the mountains and deserts of the Southwest. I’ve learned to observe and listen to these conversations with reverence and awe for what is said and what is left unsaid. This exchange honors all that is life, followed by the arrival of a night sky that speaks of the ancient origins of Earth, Moon, and Sun.
It is such a light that holds in its care the immensity of all love - past, present, and future all at once, and the promise of what may seem lost in the way of loved ones departed from the surface of this physical realm have indeed transitioned to the immortal embrace of a love that knows no end.
It’s in the comforting solace of beauty before us where we can catch glimpses through that thin, separating veil, and be gently reminded that all our shared stories and memories are never, ever in vain but live on in the graceful conversations that catch the attention of the watchful and listening heart.
